Our commitment
At Smart Expiry we want everyone to be able to use our website with ease, including people with disabilities. smartexpiry.org was built to meet the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, Israeli Standard 5568 and WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What we did
- Semantic structure with headings and landmarks, plus a “Skip to main content” link.
- Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Color contrast at level AA for text and buttons.
- Text alternatives for images, and written descriptions of the app screen illustrations.
- Responsive layout for every screen size, with text zoom up to 200% without losing content.
- Respect for the operating system’s “Reduce motion” setting.
- Correct language and text direction for Hebrew and English.
Accessibility menu
Every page has an accessibility button in the corner of the screen. It opens a menu where you can make the text larger or smaller, and turn on:
- High contrast
- Inverted colors
- Grayscale
- Highlight links
- Highlight headings
- Readable font
- Text spacing
- Stop animations
- Large cursor
- Keyboard navigation
Your settings are saved in this browser only and apply to every page until you reset them.
Known limitations
The app screens shown on the site are illustrations; the information in them is also described in the text next to them. If you find something that isn’t accessible, please let us know and we’ll fix it.
